What People Are Saying About Saucon Valley Animal Hospital

“Was recommended this vet from multiple people who I know that don't know each other and all of them had same thing to say; "best that they've ever been to!" Our cat was sadly diagnosed with cancer, she had a lesion on her small intestine that we found after doing an ultrasound somewhere else. After going to other vets, we decided to take her to Saucon Valley and Dr Draper was a god send. Instead of having her go through more rounds of testing and lugging her back and forth and spending a ton of money dealing with loads of stress both for us and our cat he agreed to do essentially do an emergency surgery the next day and moved his entire schedule around to accommodate. And also charged us and unbelievably reasonable amount as compared to what we would have probably paid anywhere else. I would have paid whatever to make my baby feel better but they were light at a time of worry stress and darkness. Dr Draper genuinely cares about the animals and his ONLY motivation is what's best for the animal. That is extremely refreshing and not very common nowadays. Not to knock any other vets, we've had some good experiences at other places but this was just... different. Amazing Place! Five stars would do more if that was an option.”

“I took my dog to Dr Draper because it is advertised he is a holistic veterinarian. My rescue dog has pancreatitis, cardiomyopathy, anxiety and hypothyroidism. He told me to change his diet to one high in protein and fat, as opposed to the low fat and moderate protein diets always recommended for pancreatitis. He also changed his anxiety medication and sold me some "Chinese herbs" which he said would help his anxiety naturally and provide a calm demeanor. After being on this regimen for less than 2 weeks, my dog became very ill. He was having pancreatitis attacks several times each week. I stopped the Chinese herbs, but he only got slightly better. I put him back on his low fat, moderate protein food and he got markedly better. But I was still giving him this anxiety medication and he would be very lethargic and shaky when he stood up and have trouble walking whenever I gave it to him. After researching this drug, I learned it should only be given as an aid to anesthesia and has a ton of side effects like my dog had been having. It even warms never to give it to sight hounds (of which my dog is more than 50% Italian Greyhound), or dogs with cardiac conditions and my dog has cardiomyopathy. Between the diet change, Chinese herbs, and this dangerous drug, Dr Draper literally almost killed my dog. He is still having some effects from the anxiety sedative that I am hoping will stop once he clears it from his body. I will stick with regular veterinarians who take my dogs ENTIRE health into consideration. And don't prescribe quack herbs and dangerous lethal drugs!”
