PPL Center Allentown: Parking, Bag Policy, Seating & Where to Eat
Quick answer: PPL Center is at 701 Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA 18101, phone (610) 224-4625. Pre-paid event parking is through ParkMobile. The A–Z guide puts that entrance at the corner of 7th and Linden and does not print a dollar rate. Six downtown garages require you to pull forward into the space. The clear-bag rule on the bag policy page is one clear bag up to 12" x 12" x 6", a clear one-gallon resealable bag, or a clutch up to 4.5" x 6.5" x 2". Backpacks and duffle bags are prohibited on that page. LANtaBus serves the Allentown Transit Center at 6th and Linden, which the arena says is less than a 5-minute walk. The Phantoms schedule, checked the same day, shows the next home games as October 24, 2026 at 7:05 p.m. against Syracuse and October 25 at 3:05 p.m. against Belleville.
Checked October 22, 2026 on the directions and parking page, the bag and purse policy, the A–Z guide, and the Phantoms schedule. Parking dollar amounts are not on those pages. This guide does not invent them.

The arena phone and the street address are on the directions page. The box-office hours and the door rule are on the A–Z guide. That guide writes the weekday hours as “Tuesdays and Thursday from 12-5pm,” with Thursday in the singular, so this page quotes it that way. Event days add one hour before doors. A second line on the same guide gives (484) 273-4491 alongside (484) 273-4490 for general inquiries. Box-office sales take cash and major credit cards (Amex, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa). Online and phone sales take major credit cards. During a ticket on-sale, the guide says a card used at the window has to be your own card, with a valid photo ID.
Most events open doors one hour before the listed start. A 7:00 p.m. show is the guide’s own example: doors at 6:00 p.m. Some events open 30 minutes earlier than that hour. Once a ticket is scanned, you cannot leave and come back. The guide says a new ticket is required to enter again.
Accessible seating is purchased from the Accessible Seating link on the ticket page, by phone at 484-273-4490, or at the box office. The guide says that inventory is limited. Sensory bags and weighted lap pads are available at no charge at Phoebe Guest Services if you leave an ID. Seat locations themselves are on the Phantoms seating chart. This page does not redraw it.
Parking: Arena Garage, ParkMobile, and the Pull-In Rule
Two official pages describe parking, and they do not print a price.
The A–Z guide says pre-paid parking is available through ParkMobile, with the entrance on the corner at 7th and Linden. It says rates are competitive and subject to change. It calls that facility the Arena Garage and says other garages are available if it sells out, pointing readers to the Allentown Parking Authority for garage costs.
The directions page links pplcenter.parkmobile.io for pre-purchase, and a “buy parking” image on the same page points at ParkMobile’s PPL Center events page. The article text does not name a dollar amount. Treat the parking as paid, and pre-pay on ParkMobile, unless the ParkMobile screen for your event shows a number. This guide did not copy a price off that screen.
| Garage | Where the directions page places it | Backing in |
|---|---|---|
| Allentown Transportation Deck | N. 6th and Linden | Not allowed |
| Community Deck | 13 South 6th Street | Not allowed |
| Government Deck | 4th and Hamilton | Not allowed |
| Spiral Deck | 800 block of W. Linden | Not allowed |
| 9th and Walnut Deck | 9th and Walnut | Not allowed |
| Strata Deck | 39 North 6th Street | Not allowed |
| Orange Garage | 712 W. Linden | Allowed |
The Allentown Parking Authority fines cars that back into a space in the garages on that list. The directions page gives the authority’s number as 610-841-9090. The Orange Garage is the exception: backing in is allowed. A car left there for an extended time can be treated as abandoned and towed at the owner’s expense. The page does not define “extended.”
Driving directions on the same page send Philadelphia, New York, Reading, and Phillipsburg traffic toward 7th Street or West Hamilton Street and then say to follow event-parking signs. They do not add a garage-by-garage map beyond the list above.
Getting There on LANtaBus
The directions page says PPL Center is less than a 5-minute walk from the Allentown Transit Center at 6th and Linden. Routes it lists, checked October 22, 2026: 102, 103, 104, 107, 209, 210, 211, 213, 218, 220, 322, 323, and 324. Each route name on the page links to a LANta schedule. LANta and the Allentown Parking Authority also run event-night parking shuttles. The arena points to lantabus.com/event-night for that service. The page does not print a shuttle fare.
Bag Policy and What Else Stays Outside
The bag policy page is the strict version. One small clear bag, not over 12" x 12" x 6". Or a clear one-gallon resealable bag, and the page gives a Ziploc as the example. Or a clutch not over 4.5" x 6.5" x 2". Backpacks and duffle bags are prohibited. Everything is screened. Medical needs and diaper bags get special consideration. The page also says the arena strongly encourages clear bags.
The A–Z guide does not match that paragraph word for word. In the prohibited-items section it says guests may bring soft-sided bags and purses that do not exceed 12" x 12" x 6", that backpacks are not permitted, and that drawstring bags are not considered backpacks. A different line on the same guide encourages clear 12" x 12" x 6" bags, clear one-gallon resealable bags, or small clutch bags. If you are holding a soft-sided bag that is not clear, do not assume the A–Z sentence overrides the bag policy page. Read both on the day of the event. The prohibited list is also marked as changeable by event without notice.
Other items the A–Z guide prohibits include outside food and beverages, cans, bottles, and coolers, alcoholic beverages, weapons, pepper spray, e-cigarettes and vaporizers, professional cameras and tripods, laser pointers, noisemakers such as air horns, animals that are not ADA service animals, balloons, selfie sticks, hoverboards, segways, skateboards, drones, glow sticks, and flash bulbs. Laptops and wrapped gifts are on that list as well. Because outside food is prohibited, eat before you go through security.
Phantoms Games
The Phantoms site links to the AHL and to the Philadelphia Flyers, and it lists home games at PPL Center. Tickets for the building run through the account manager the arena links, am.ticketmaster.com/allentown. The full slate, including away games, is on the Phantoms schedule. This page does not copy the season.
On October 22, 2026 the first home games on that schedule are Saturday, October 24, 2026, 7:05 p.m., against the Syracuse Crunch, and Sunday, October 25, 2026, 3:05 p.m., against the Belleville Senators. Both are marked at PPL Center. Later home dates are on the same page. Do not treat a reprinted list as current after the schedule moves.
For a family ticket, use the A–Z line exactly: children two years of age and under do not need a ticket for most events, and they sit on a paying customer’s lap. “Most events” is the arena’s limit. Open the event page before you assume a lap seat. Birthday announcements at Phantoms games, if you want one, go to the Phantoms sales office at 610-224-4625 at least 72 business hours before game time. That is a separate request from the ticket itself.
Where to Eat on Hamilton Street
Outside food stops at the door, so the useful list is what is already on Hamilton Street in this directory. Distances are straight-line miles from 701 Hamilton Street, using OpenStreetMap coordinates checked October 22, 2026. They are not walking routes and not drive times. Hours, price level, and ratings are the directory fields, last verified October 2026. A listing with no price level is shown that way. None of these hours were re-checked on the restaurant’s own site for this page.

For a 7:05 p.m. Saturday like the October 24 Phantoms game, the hours fields that are still open are Aroma of India, Amigos, and Pennsylvania Rye. Gems & Joe’s Saturday hours end at 8 p.m., which is tight if you still have to clear security. Wafa's and Sophistiqué are daytime listings.
