Edge Restaurant

“Edge Restaurant, located on West Broad Street in Bethlehem, is a New American restaurant with French and Asian influences. It's open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM, and on Friday and Saturday until 9:30 PM. I stopped in on Thursday night for an early dinner and had a great first experience, with friendly service and delicious, well-prepared food. My friends and I started with the crispy dim sum (chicken), essentially crispy chicken dumplings, served with a sweet-spicy Thai chili sauce and savory soy sauce. Next, we tried the crispy calamari, lightly crisp and tender, with medium-sized rings served alongside romaine and baby arugula, red pepper, ginger-sriracha dressing, and fried capers. For my entrée I went with the Thai Chicken Curry, prepared with tender chicken, fingerling potatoes, cauliflower, scallions, cilantro, and red pepper in a rich, creamy coconut milk broth. The steamed jasmine rice soaked up the sauce beautifully, making this an entrée I absolutely loved. My friend had the Farfalle Pasta, composed of roasted chicken breast, sautéed spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke, lemon beurre blanc, grana, and crispy prosciutto. It's not something I would ever order, but it looked great and she really liked it. My other friend had sautéed Angus beef with sugar snap peas and hoisin jus, as well as the seasonal flatbread, which happened to be a spicy margarita. The beef was juicy, and the flatbread had a nice crisp to the crust. He enjoyed them both. From the appetizers to the entrées, everything at Edge was wonderful. It's definitely a place I'd return to for both the food and the atmosphere.”

“Visited with my mother on a Tuesday evening - no reservation required since a weeknight. The host/manager graciously cleaned up the outdoor patio seating area for us, as it had been closed because of rain earlier in the day. In the meantime, we got ourselves a drink at the bar (pictured below) - I had the Blueberry Honey Fizz, which was incredibly refreshing. My mother had the Cucumber Mint Gimlet - another delicious cocktail. Adam was the bartender, and it was evident he made the drinks very well and with love. For appetizers, we shared the hearts of romaine (caesar salad) and the spicy chicken lettuce wraps - both hit the spot in terms of taste and quality. As for our entrees, we both ordered the lump crab cakes. The crab cakes themselves, easily some of the best I've had across my lifetime from a restaurant. The crab is fresh, quality, and flavorful. The only critique I could make for this dish is that the wasabi napa slaw was not fresh, but limp - which changes the experience entirely. And then the potato gratin was not cooked the best either. But other than that - food was great. To finish the meal off, we chose the hummingbird cake which is a banana and pineapple bread/cake that has cream cheese icing on top. Chefs kiss to that one, especially because it was gluten free. They have some designated gluten free dishes, as well as vegetarian options on the menu. Our server was top notch as well, cannot remember her name, but she did a great job. Overall I would give this place a 4.5/5. Highly recommend, it's in the main historic district of Bethlehem - you can go for a stroll afterwards. Don't play with the parking, the parking authorities are on top of it here lol.”

“I think this was my 3rd or 4th time coming, and I have to say, the BEST chicken dish I have ever had in my life was from here, such an explosion of flavors it makes me want to just meditate with each bite to fully immerse myself in the flavor! Our waittress was the sweetest thing ever too! She was very attentive, very informed on the menu with great dish recommendations as well as very nice to us throughout our stay! I definitely want to come back again as soon as possible to get me more of that chicken breast!!”

“Honestly really disappointed. I made a reservation for my boyfriend’s birthday a week ago or so and honestly extremely underwhelmed. It took a while for our server to come up to us but she was nice when she did. Unfortunately that was one of the only times we saw her. I counted 3 times she came to our table. One for our food order, one for drink, and one for the check. Whoever their food runner is (had a ginger beard I believe) needs a raise. I swear I’d saw him more than any other server. It also was extremely empty as we came on a Monday night. The food itself was ok. His duck was good but my pasta was cold. By the time I said came back I didn’t even wanna say anything to her because I didn’t wanna wait another almost 45 minutes for her to hear it up and come back so we just asked for our check and a box. I’m a server myself so I try to be very understanding but for how expensive dinner was we were extremely disappointed with everything.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Edge. Scratch-made food with fantastic flavor and attention to detail. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. The service was fantastic. Our waitress was happy to serve us and made sure we were satisfied. We plan on coming back with more of our family.”
