What People Are Saying About Burkholder's Heating & Air Conditioning
“First time customer with Burkholder. Seasonal maintenance contract. The tech Gavin B. Was courteous and knowledgeable which being fairly young had me skeptical at first but proved me wrong. He was very efficient and listened to my concerns. He is an asset to your company and should be proud to have him. In fact I will ask for him on future checkups and maintenance if possible. I used Weaver fuels for over 30 years but unfortunately chose not to anymore. Burkholder is now my go to heating and cooling company. Thanks”

“We were having an issue with our AC unit July 4th during a 101 degree day. The temperature was rising inside the house to the point of worry, since our grandchildren were visiting for a few days. I called Burholders H & AC and within a two hours a tech was at our front door. He was very pleasant and got right to it. He diagnosed the problem as a bad capacitor, replaced it, and within a half hour we had cold air blowing. It absolutely pays to be a current client and to have maintenance agreement contract as the invoice was very reasonable for a holiday service call and repair. I couldn't have been more happy with my decision to go with Burkholder's Heating and AC!”

“I have hesitated to write this review because I wanted allow the company to a chance to correct initial implementation. I just called to set up my summer maintenance only to find out it had expired. I was told I would have to wait two weeks for a callback to schedule maintenance that I was willing to pay for. That didn't land very well with me. Purchased $34k in new top of the line (AC/Heating/dehumidification) equipment FY26. After multiple service calls/visits the efficiency and comfort of unit have never been fully realized. I would have been better off purchasing a start unit and save 25k. Good people I just don't think they have the technical expertise to install new Carrier Green-speed high-end units. Signed, Still struggling”

“I recently had a disappointing experience with this HVAC service provider. I was referred to this company by a neighbor who spoke positively about their services, leading me to believe they were trustworthy. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet these expectations. The first technician arrived, and I explained that my system required fall/winter maintenance. I also noted that the second-floor unit was making unusual noises and was less efficient than in previous years, resulting in a colder home. The technician identified a hole in the hose, attributing it to an oversight by a previous service provider. He closed the hole and assured me the issue was resolved. Assuming both units had been serviced efficiently, I signed up for an annual maintenance contract, which was described as covering yearly maintenance and offering discounts for future service calls. However, shortly after, my family experienced significant heating issues, with indoor temperatures remaining above 85 degrees. Upon my request, another technician visited but appeared impatient. He accessed the attic, adjusted a switch, and explained the previous technician had left the unit running continuously. Despite this intervention, the original problem persisted, and the house remained cold after his departure. A third visit, conducted by the same technician, involved equipment checks and recommendations to insulate the attic. He mentioned consulting a specialist but I was not contacted for follow-up. After a week or two, I reached out to the office, and a specialist eventually inspected the system. This specialist suggested the unit might require increased airflow due to age and recommended that the fan remain in continuous operation. Following this advice resulted in an unusually high electricity bill the next month. Subsequently, I requested further assistance to address the airflow issue, as advised. Communication challenges arose regarding appointment scheduling, and I was not notified of changes, causing additional inconvenience. During these interactions, I learned that my information was incorrectly recorded in their system. At the scheduled visit, despite clear communication that the primary concern was the second-floor unit, both units were inspected. The simple adjustment took approximately two hours and cost over $600, even with a service contract in place. This raised concerns about pricing transparency and the value offered. Attempting to resolve these matters, I contacted the company multiple times and requested to speak with a supervisor, but have yet to receive a response after a month. While the front office staff has been courteous, the overall experience with the service team has been inconsistent, unprofessional, and overpriced. I share this review to encourage others to be diligent when selecting service providers for their homes. Consistency, professionalism, and fair pricing are essential qualities, and clients should feel valued throughout the service process.”
