“I’ve been sitting on making this review for a while, but I wanted to share my experiences at Velvet Nails & Spa from earlier this year. I visited this salon twice (my mistake was going a second time). During my first visit my nail tech struggled with painting my nails. I requested a simple sheer pink, and felt like I supervised my nail tech throughout the entire painting process. She repeatedly attempted to cure the gel color while it was covered in fuzz and hair, and the end result was a set of nails that were streaky, bumpy, and of various opacities. The gel was also all over my skin, which is simply a risk for contact dermatitis. I paid full price, left frustrated, and later called to share my experience. To the salon’s credit, the manager was genuinely lovely and apologetic. She convinced me to give them another chance, so I booked a second appointment hoping the first visit had just been a fluke. Round two was no better. During this appointment, a different nail tech, struggled with building and shaping my nails with acrylic for the fill in. I’ll include photos because, honestly, words don’t quite do them justice, except perhaps if I describe my nails as looking like uneven, lumpy bricks. (They also really hurt). Again, I paid full price. I understand clients are responsible for vocalizing their opinions during a session, but I also think salons and nail techs are equally, if not more responsible for producing quality work. No qualified nail tech or reputable salon should be satisfied with this product- and they should never allow a client to leave their doors believing this is acceptable. The silver lining of this story is that I have since discovered a nail salon in this area that leaves my nails flawless every time. I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, honestly this is my first ever, but after giving this salon two chances, I think it’s only fair to share my honest experience so that someone else can avoid the hassle.”

“I cannot recommend Velvet nails enough! I went in with a terribly done set of gel-x nails from another salon. Chloe removed these and did a new set BEAUTIFULLY, with so much attention to detail. I also got a pedicure and was happy with that! The salon is clean, everyone was very welcoming & I will absolutely be returning again when I’m in the area.”

“Wonderful experience from start to finish! Beautiful and clean salon. The manager was very accommodating and allowed me to come in 1.5h earlier then my scheduled appointment to ease pre-event stress, as I was visiting from out of town for a wedding. My nail tech, Jasmine, was very sweet, personable, and meticulous. She did a great job executing my manicure nail design and was very attentive the entirety of my pedicure regarding water temp, massage pressure, etc. I wish I was a local, this would be my go to place!”

“This is my 3rd time coming to this salon, and I LOVE IT! The atmosphere is so peaceful and welcoming. I always bring a friend with me and they love it as well. Compared to other salons, Velvet Nails uses great sterile tools. The cleanliness is a 10/10, let alone the service itself also being a 10/10. This is my favorite place to get a pedicure, I found my home salon!! Highly recommend. Haven't gotten a manicure yet, but trust I will!! Thank you Velvet Nails & Spa :)”
